0 seconds -- beats/minute BEAT STOP
  1. Sit still for ten minutes.
  2. Find your carotid artery. Find the spot along your jawline halfway between your chin and your ear. Move your fingers slowly down your neck from this position. You should be able to feel a pulse a little less than halfway down your neck.
  3. Place your index and middle fingers over your carotid artery. Make sure not to use your thumb, it has a pulse of its own. Do not press hard on the carotid artery because it is the main source of blood to your head.
  4. With your free hand, tap or click the “beat” button with each beat of your heart. Keep pressing it with each beat you feel. Your pulse rate will display in estimated beats per minute.
  5. After 15 seconds, a reasonable estimate will be displayed. You may continue logging to find a more precise estimate.
